About the design
clockwork is David's first-year film at the RCA. It began life - like much of his work - as a series of illustrations and sketches, depicting a sense of environment and emotions. David has a particular affinity with circular narratives and loops within his work, which probably derives from previously working in a non-time based discipline. The themes of clockwork are based on monotony and the cycle of work through a father and son relationship. Every day, the son is trying to get the father to play with the clockwork toy, yet his father is too exhausted from work.About the Adobe Design Achievement Awards
