Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola
The School of Corporate Art and Graphic Design at San Ignacio de Loyola University in Lima, Peru, was formed in December 1998. The university offers a 5-year Bachelor programme in Art and Graphic Design, with courses in graphic design, advertising, editorial design, environmental design and multimedia. Students in the Bachelor programme must complete and present two large projects: a research thesis and a business-oriented project that incorporates both technical and business skills.
San Ignacio de Loyola University encourages a holistic approach to learning, promoting interaction between different faculties through a non-profit initiative called 'The Agency'. The Agency provides opportunities for students to work for 'clients' within the university in exchange for course credits. By the end of their academic careers, students are equipped with the tools they need to run a design project as a freelancer or in a company.
