PolyU design students showcase creative facemasks for Asian population
Hong Kong - The School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has launched the "Masters of Mask" Exhibition to showcase a collection of innovative facemasks designed by its students on a master programme. Set out to create innovative solutions for a new generation of "Asian Fit" protective facemasks, 15 international students from the Masters of Design in Design Practices programme paired up and designed creative facemasks to specifically tackle not only the issue of Asian size and fit, but also the needs of material technology, branding strategy and public health policy.Read more >>

Michael Bryce announced as the patron of a new cultural institution in Canberra
Canberra (Australia) - Mr Michael Bryce AM AE has been announced as the patron of the Gallery of Australian Design at the launch in Canberra Friday 15 May 2009. The Gallery of Australian Design is a partnership between the University of Canberra, the National Museum of Australia, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and the Australian Institute of Architects. It is the first of its kind in Australia and will be a public facility attracting and engaging with visitors to the National Capital and the local community.Read more >>
