Theme

The theme for Mousharaka: Icograda Design Week in Qatar is Collaboration.

Collaboration is a combined effort resulting in the deepening of inter-relationships and shared knowledge. Design is now considered a team endeavor where collaboration is crucial to achieve innovative results that are inclusive of cultures and mediums. Designers are crossing boundaries and have become part of creative interdisciplinary teams that address broader issues of communication, space, systems thinking, cultural identity, style, and business. Designers have become instrumental in teams that affect change on a global level.

Introducing: Design Debate Doha

Building on the tradition of the Doha Debates, Mousharaka will launch Design Debate Doha, an opportunity for the design community to address an important global design issue in the debate format.

Topic under consideration:
This house believes that…"Globalisation harmfully subverts culturally unique sensibilities."

The audience will decide!

Mousharaka scholarships

Six international scholarships are being offered to attend Mousharaka: Icograda Design Week in Qatar. The scholarships are offered through the support of Virginia Common University in Qatar (VCUQatar).
