ADAA 2009 Awards Ceremony

Get recognised for your work on an international stage

The 2009 Adobe Design Achievement Awards gives higher education students from around the world the shortcut to brilliance to propel their careers in the future. Enter in 12 categories in 3 media areas endorsed by the industry. Winners will be announced at the Icograda World Design Congress in Beijing, China.

Eligibility

The competition is open to full-time students of 18 years and over currently attending an accredited institution of higher education from around the world.* Read the official rules for more details.

*The ADAA competition is void in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria and where prohibited by the United States sanctions law.

Categories

Individuals and groups will compete with one another in a dozen different categories from three media areas:
  1. Interactive Media: Browser-Based Design, Browser-Based Design, Browser-Based Design, Browser-Based Design, Installation Design, Mobile Design
  2. Motion and Video: Animation, Animation, Motion Graphics
  3. Traditional Media: Illustration, Photography, Photography, Print Communications
*Only one entry per category is permitted, with a maximum of three entries per group or individual.

Judges

The 2009 Adobe Design Achievement Awards entries will be reviewed by a panel of outstanding judges, all experts in their fields. The panel includes:
  • Leimei Julia Chiu, Director, International Design Center NAGOYA Inc. Nagoya, Japan.
  • Louis Gagnon, Co-founder, Paprika Montreal, Canada.
  • Garth Walker, Mr. Walker, South Africa.
  • Tarek Atrissi, Tarek Atrissi Design Hilversum, The Netherlands.
  • Kyle Kim, Professor, Visual Communication Design, Hongik University, Korea.
  • Cristina Chiappini, Designer, Rome, Italy.
  • Lance Wyman, Lance Wyman, Ltd., New York City, United States.

Prizes

The top three Finalists in each category will be announced and prizes awarded at the awards ceremony in Beijing in October 2008. Of these Finalists, one Category Winner will be awarded.

How to submit

All entries must be submitted online via http://adaaentry.com. File formats vary depending on the type of submission.

Submissions close 5 June 2009, 5:00 pm PST.
