MEMORIAS TIPOGRAFICAS
Member of: ADG - Brazil
About the design
'Typographic Memories' is a book that displays a collection of the
commercial signs that established the visual characteristics of Rio de
Janeiro's classical neighborhoods Laranjeiras, Flamengo, Largo do
Machado and Catete during the last decades of the 20th century.
Personal history is combined with Rio's typographic history in an
autobiographical and spontaneous panel of sign design, typography,
popular culture and graphic arts that are now starting to disappear due
to modern life circumstances. The book was selected for the ADG Brazil
7th Biennial Exhibition of Graphic Design 2004.
