About the designer
Born 1935. Past president GMK, the Turkish Society of Graphic Designers.
With
the efforts made on behalf of his profession,Altintas has contributed
much to the development of graphic design in Turkey.Schooled at
Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts, from 1952 till 1957, he realised the
first graphic design exhibition in Turkey in the year 1964.He pioneered
the founding of Graphic Designers Association in 1968 and was
influential in making it known abroad. Altintas who presently continues
to teach at MSU, also carries out his works as a designer.
