KUOPION SEURAKUNNAT (KUOPIO CONGREGATION)

Designer: Kari Piippo
Member of: Grafia, Finland

About the design

The church had a wish that their 450-year anniversary symbol would be related to water. Water is an important symbol of life, and the congregations are located at the lake area of Finland.

The image refers to a local speciality, a bread with little fish baked inside. In this way the logo combines the biblical themes of water, bread, and fish with the region's traditional dish.
