About the design
"Macbeth" is a poster designed for a play performed by "Rustaveli", the
State Theater of Georgia for their one night performance in Istanbul.
It is not a general poster for Shakespeare's famous Macbeth and does
not try to interpret Shakespeare's text. It is rather a poster of
Rustaveli's performance and tries to emphasize their interpretation of
the text.
About the designer
Esen Karol. Born 1967 in Ankara.
BA in Graphic Design, Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul. MS with
Fulbright Scholarship in Graduate Communications Design Department,
Pratt Institute, New York. She teaches typography at Graphic Design
Department, MSU, Istanbul. She works in her own design studio primarily
for cultural clients, specializing in publication design.
