About the design
Ballet Mikkeli is an international Ballet Festival held annualy in Mikkeli, Finland.  Its nucleus is the Imperial Russian Ballet from Moscow.

About the designer
Kari Piippo was born in 1945, and studied at the School of Industrial Art in Helsinki.  He founded his own studio in 1987, and taught graphic design at the University of Art and Design, Helsinki, between 1989–1997.   Kari has been a  jury member in a many national and international competitions as well as won several important poster prizes himself.  He received the Icograda Award in 1990 in Chaumont.
