1942: born in Prostejov, Czech Republic
1969: graduation from the Palacky University in Olomouc, Faculty of Fine Arts
1970-74: living in Prag and working here as a specialist with the National museum of the Czeck literature. During that time M.W. designed many film and exhibition posters
Since 1974: free-lanced designer 1977: he moved from the Czech republic to Duesseldorf, Germany 1999: he established his own design office "typoem". He works mainly on the field of poster design, Corporate Design, inter-active media, book-illustration. He participated in many exhibitions national andabroad and was awarded several
prizes.

"typoem" is a design office, founded in 1999 in J chen, Germany. The aim of the design office is to reach maximum design diversity (not only on the field of book illustration) by using simple tools of classical typography.
