About the design
A poster promoting a talk in Shanghai by Brazilian master-cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa on the arrival of his comics in China. It wittily features a drawing of Mônica, the main character of his comic strips, as she is painted in walls by the boys who tease her because of the character's big teeth.

About the designer
Born in 1971 in Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Porto is a graphic designer, illustrator and educator. His graphic design work has been exhibited and published worldwide, and he has acted as a jury member for a number of awards. He has organized a great variety of design exhibitions and events, and holds a regular column at the Brazilian government website www.designbrasil.org.br. He had been a faculty member of UniverCidade from 1996-2006, when he assumed a teaching position at the Raffles Design Institute in Shanghai, China, where he currently lives.
