DESIGN ACHIEVERS AWARDS 2001

Designer: Jacques Lange
Member of: DSA, South Africa

About the design
The Design Achievers Awards was established in 1987. It distinguished itself from other design awards through its national and multidisciplinary character, its emphasis on entrepreneurship and leadership ability, and its emphasis on creative excellence as a way to promote and stimulate the local design profession. The theme of the 2001 Design Achievers Awards is 'Hands-on opportunities, Minds-on solutions, Hearts-on design.' The participants will present design focussed business concepts which might contribute towards solving social, environmental, industrial or cultural problems currently being experienced in South Africa.
