About the design

'The Iranian Look' is a poster exhibition to be held in collaboration with fellow designer Rafael Vivanco and Loyola University at Lima, Peru, from 1-15 October 2010.

"I collected 140 posters from 140 Iranian designers, so as to show the Iranian 'special' look at different subjects around them; the look which has brought applause at creditable international exhibitions. 'The Iranian Look' includes works by young artists, as well as those by masters such as Morteza Momayez. I hope to repeat the exhibition in other countries as well."

About the designer

Iraj Mirza Alikhani was born in Tehran in 1956 and was very much interested in graphic design early on in his life. In 1991, he graduated with a BA in Visual Communication from the Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran University and has been lecturing at art faculties there since. After graduating, he established Ashna Advertising and his work, including branding, posters and essays, has been published across different fields of design both in Iran and around the world.
