About the design

One of the leading online ad agencies in Hungary changed its brand name to Korubo in August 2008. They invited Bencium and four other other designers to create a new brand and a corporate identity. Below is Bencium's winning competition entry and the later extended identity elements.

The designer wanted some rule-breaking and pioneering identity, a visual concept which is not similar to any previously seen identities. The concept is simple: no rigorous identity. Only there are identity elements which can be used and adapted randomly. In this way we can build a playful, though consequent brand image.

About the designer

In 1995, Bence Csernak started education at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria, and graduated with excellent grades in 2000. After studying and freelancing in Vienna, he started a studio in Budapest in 2001. He has since worked for European and Hungarian clients in several different industries. As of October 2007, Bence Csernak has been teaching web design at Visart Art Academy in Budapest, the Hungarian branch of École d'Art Maryse Eloy, Paris.
