About the design
"International Jazz Festival" is a silk screen poster for a Jazz festival held yearly in Aarhus Denmark.
Finn made the very first poster for this event in 1989, last years poster was his ninth and a tribute to the late Ronald Kirk.

About the designer
Finn Nygaard was born in 1955 in Denmark, after being trained at a graphic design studio and finishing designschool in 1978, he founded his own graphic design studio in 1979.

Involved in creating posters, illustrations, graphic design and corporate identity, mural paintings and color consulting for Danish and international
companies.

Nygaard has taught part-time graphic design at the Danish Design School and at Designskolen Kolding. He has held poster workshops all around the world, and lectured in Beijing, Shanghai, Lisbon, Stockholm, Amsterdam.
Nygaard has participated in many international poster and design exhibitions. He has had numerous exhibitions and won many international as well as national awards.

Last year he was credited with the Danish Design Award for his color setting of the new train "Oresundstoget" between Denmark and Sweden. In May this year he got the ILMC prize in London for his "Aarhus Internationsl Jazz Poster".

Finn Nygaard is a member of MDD and AGI, Alliance Graphique Internationale.
