About the design

Whales (among the largest animals in the world) are dying everyday due to different reasons such as global warming, polluted water and more.
Designer Onish Aminelahi thought something must be done before it's too late.

This poster was recently selected as a winner of the Good Poster Hong Kong competition in the topic "Lead a low carbon lifestyle to save energy and our future."

About the designer

Born in 1972 in Tehran, Iran, Onish Aminelahi has a BA in Graphic Design (1997) and an MA in Graphic design (2000 ). Onish has been a professional graphic designer since 1995. In 1996, he founded "Hamrang Graphic" (Aminelahi atelier) design studio.

Onish has participated in different solo and group exhibitions such as:
  • Solo cinema poster exhibition, Tehran, Iran, 2009
  • First and second "PosNeg" Art Group's Poster Exhibition (conductor), 2004 and 2006
  • Group exhibitions in Ukraine, Peru, Belgium, France, United States, etc.
  • One of the best posters selected by "Good 50x70" contest, 2008
  • One of 10 Iranian graphic designers introduced in "Design 360" Chinese concept & design magazine, 2008
  • One of 12 artists selected for 2011 wall calendar of "Posters for Peace & Justice", Amber Lotus publication, USA

Onish has also been a juror of different exhibitions and contests such as: YAKU posters, Poster for tomorrow and more.
