About the design
A 12 page calendar with trace overlay +cover sheet + beneficiary NGO page + credits + reinforcing board backing, boxed in natural corrugated board. Limited special frame version (150) in silkscreened white corrugated board.

The theme is a series of phrases chosen to illustrate a particular perspective about life, pertinent to the African condition. Some are inspirational, others cryptic, all attempt to challenge the cliche or absolutely reinforce it. The captions provide further clues.

About the designer
Roy Clucas was born in South Africa in 1947 and has lived and worked in New York, Paris, Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg, plying his trade as a graphic designer.
Married to Celia, an active agent for the promotion of design issues. Two children, 3 cars & 2 dogs between them.
