According to Maslow
Design by: Mohammad Sharaf
Member of: American University of Kuwait
About the design
The work represents some Arab/Muslims' unfortunate position according to Maslow's pyramid of basic needs. It illustrates how these kind of women are basically hanging on the first step of the basic needs. In addition to that, the woman is represented as a table game stone, called "Dama." This game is well known locally, and it basically represents full control of men over women where I live.
