Icograda Friends are a worldwide network of individuals who share a common interest in communication design. Friends come from diverse backgrounds, cultures and social structures.

Friends support the role that communication design plays worldwide, today and tomorrow. Friends support Icograda and desire to contribute to Icograda and its worldwide aims. Friends improve relationships between people in emerging economies and those in established economies.

Anyone who wishes to support Icograda and who agrees with Icograda's aims and values can become an Icograda Friend on a contribution basis.

Icograda Friends are invited to attend the biennial Icograda General Assembly as Observers but have no voting rights in the governance of the Council.

Founder Friends

Icograda Friends was originally founded in 1991 with seed donations contributed by 68 founders from Japan. Founder Friends have been honoured as Lifetime Friends.

These generous individuals have been given special certificates attesting to their contributions, and are noted throughout this website with the special designation Founder Friend.
