Hong Kong Design Centre

The HKDC is a non-profit organization established in 2001 by the Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations with full support from the HKSAR Government and a renovation fund from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.


The Federation's Founding Members are the Hong Kong designers Association, the Chartered Society of Designers (Hong Kong), Interior Design Association (Hong Kong) and the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association.


The HKDC works with the HKSAR Government, business partners and associations to promote design as a strategic, value-adding component in business. A number of programmes are being created to emphasis the importance of design for today s businesses. HKDC helpS designers raise their profiles, as well as the overall design standard in Hong Kong.

HKDC's missions are to promote design in Hong Kong as a strategic and value-added activity that helps businesses to excel, act as a platform for the integration of innovative design ideas and businesses to create unlimited opportunities worldwide, help Hong Kong establish itself as the design hub of Asia and to transform Hong Kong as a rich source of innovative products and design talents of all disciplines.
