
Israel Community of Designers
The Israel Community of Designers is a non-profit organization representing Israel professional designers.
The original establishment of the organization can be traced back to
1971. Recently the name was changed to Israel Community of Designers
with the inclusion of a significant number of graphic designers.
Officially established in 2004, it represents Israel in the international design organizations Icograda, Icsid and IDA.
The Israel Community of Designers has as its aims:
- promotion of design and understanding of design process
- furthering excellence in design
- organization of exhibitions, seminars and workshops
- improving the lot of the professional designer
- fostering communication within community
- representation of professional community towards government and industry
- contact with regional and international design entities
- collaboration with educational institutions
- advancement of sustainable design
- collaboration with other design fields
