Juan Carlos Darias has been practicing as a graphic designer since 1987, holding positions as managing Director of Magazine Clips, Arts Director for Popder Joven Magazine, and Writer and Art Director for Logotipos design magazine. Has been commissioned for design projects involving catalogs, booklets and magazines for the Sheraton Hotel chain, La Rinconada Art Museum and AVAP Gallery (Venezuelan Association of Fine Artists). Since 1989, Darias has held several academic positions. He is currently the Academic Directors Chair at Instituto Diseno DARIAS design school and special courses extension instructor at Universidad Simon Bolivar. He is a member of the Venezuelan Association of Fine Artists, as well as honorary member and consultant to COIDIGRA, the International Design Congress in Merida, Venezuela.
