Mumbai (India) - The first Icograda Design Week of 2007 is being hosted by the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), a member of the Icograda Education Network.

Athens (Greece) - A new pan-European programme consisting of an awards scheme, a conference and an annual catalogue for the European communication design industry is born!

Zagreb (Croatia) - The Croatian Design Exhibition 040506 will open on the 9 November in Zagreb. Organised by the Croatian Designers Society, the show includes the results of the awards that were judged in June 2006.

Brussels (Belgium) - Design Flanders has asked the research agency Compagnie to put some figures on design in Flanders.

Boston (United States) - The DMI Board of Directors has approved the nomination of Professor Dr. Rachel Cooper from Lancaster University in England to join the DMI Research Advisory Council, and David Griffiths from London, and Maureen Thurston from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, to join the DMI Advisory Council.

Sofia (Bulgaria) - Bulgarian designer Petar Boychev received the prize for graphic design at the 16 Reklama Expo Awards announced on 13 October 2006.

Hamburg (Germany) - Designer Francalma Nieddu, who heads ondesign together with Olav Junke, has created reading (design) islands to read books on the subject of design.
