Rochester NY (United States) - After the recent NEW VIEWS 2 conference, held at the London College of Communication in July of 2008, members of one of the conference discussion groups have opened up the floor for submissions on the idea 'design is dead', to be published in the upcoming edition of Multi.

Hong Kong - On 12 December 2008, Icograda Promotional Member, Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), announced the winners of the HKDC Design for Asia (DFA) Award, World's Outstanding Chinese Designer (WOCD) Award, the Design Leadership Award (DLA) and the Young Design Talent Awards (YDTA).

Montreal (Canada) - The Icograda Secretariat is pleased to welcome a new member to its team. After working as a volunteer communications assistant for the Secretariat in the spring of 2008, Fareed Ramezani has now become a full time staff member.

Bratislava (Slovakia) - The 14th International Competition for Young Designers, Young Package 2009, has been endorsed by Icograda. The competition is organised in cooperation with the Slovak Design Center, the Design Cabinet CZ of the Architecture & Building Foundation in Prague and the competition's expert guarantors.

Kharkov (Ukraine) - Icograda proudly endorses the VII International Triennial of the eco-poster, the "4th Block", organised by Professional member the Association of Graphic Designers in Ukraine. The main goal of this triennial is to showcase the most significant achievements of the world's design community related to ecological subjects.

New York (United States) - DESIGN 21 and UNESCO have announced the judges for the Languages Matter! poster competition, an Icograda endorsed competition.
