Madrid (Spain) - The Designers Association of Madrid, DIMAD, and BID’s Advisory Committee make a first call for Ibero-American designers to present their work at the 1st Ibero-American Biennial of Design, aimed at showing, publicising and fostering the most representative, outstanding and avant-garde design proposals in Latin America.

Montreal (Canada) - Icograda has accepted an invitation to join Canada’s Cultural Trade Advisory Team (CTAT). CTAT is the cultural sector's vehicle for working with the Department of Canadian Heritage and other departments and agencies of the Government of Canada on export preparedness and international business development issues.

Montreal (Canada) - On 5 July 2008, Icograda will honour Young Hye Lee and Kumnam Baik with Icograda Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented as part of the Icograda Design Week in Daegu celebrations.

Brno (Czech Republic) - The International Jury of the 23rd International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno 2008 worked at the Moravian Gallery in Brno from 15–16 June 2008 to select from among the exhibited works the best ones that will be awarded any of the Brno Biennial 2008prestigious prizes.

Adelaide (Australia) - Sydney-based designer Mark Gowing has become the first ever Australian to win the Gold Medal at the prestigious Warsaw International Poster Biennale. Announced at a reception in Warsaw on Saturday, 7 June, Mark Gowing's poster "Oil Kills Peace" was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal in the category Ideological Posters.

Milan (Italy) - On 6 June 2008, Wolda, theWorldwide Logo Design Annual, and some of the winning logos from Eulda (the Europe-only predecessor of Wolda) were presented to the Art Directors Club of Europe during its first ever design & advertising conference, Syzygy, held at the CaixaForum in Barcelona.
