Brussels (Belgium) - The final deadline for entering Pentawards '08 has been extended to 30 June 2008, with no late fee. Packaging designers from around the world have a few more days to upload their best packaging designs and take your chance to be Pentawarded in Monaco (France) on 30 October this year.

Brno (Czech Republic) - During the 48th exhibition of the Brno - the Capital of Graphic design cycle, two exhibitions will be held in the city of Brno showcasing the work of Taiwanese and Czech graphic designers.

Cannes (France) - Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival has just released the shortlist for the newly launched category, Design Lions. Close to 140 entries from around the world were selected for the shortlist in this category, each of which will receive a certificate.

Montréal (Canada) - The Mayor of Montréal, Gérald Tremblay, today awarded the inaugural Phyllis Lambert Design Montréal Grant to graphic designer and publisher Philippe Lamarre. The $10,000 grant, offered by the Ville de Montréal, will enable the recipient to document and distribute, via a collaborative website, the visual heritage of Berlin, Buenos Aires and Montréal, the three UNESCO Cities of Design.

Mumbai (India) – Design Degree Show (DDS) is an annual event showcasing the design efforts of graduating students and the faculty members at the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at IIT Bombay. DDS is aimed at creating awareness in society of and simultaneously offering a platform for interaction with the industry.
