Doha (Qatar) - In the spirit of collaboration, VCUQatar is spearheading the formation of a Middle East Design Educators Association (MEDEA), which will take place during Mousharaka: Icograda Design Week in Qatar.

San Jose (United States) - Adobe's global Call for Entries for the 2009 Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA), presented in partnership with Icograda, is still in ongoing. Students have until 5 June 2009 to submit their work.

Montreal (Canada) - The Icograda Education Network (IEN) is pleased to introduce a new initiative, Iridescent, the Icograda Journal of Design Research. Iridescent will be an online international research journal advancing Icograda’s goals and objectives and fulfilling the vision of the Icograda Education Manifesto.

Montreal (Canada) – Six exemplary students have been selected from the international Call for Entries as the winners of Icograda scholarships to attend Mousharaka: Icograda Design Week in Qatar. Each winner receives free registration for the Mousharaka: Icograda Design Week in Qatar events, complimentary return airfare and accommodations in Qatar for the duration of the Design Week.

Milan (Italy) - The 2009 edition of Wolda, the Worldwide Logo Design Annual, has been endorsed by Icograda. Wolda is the high-profile graphic design award scheme that rewards the best logos and trademarks designed throughout the world.

Doha (Qatar) - As part of the Icograda Design Week in Qatar 2009, taking place from 28 February to 5 March 2009, Design Debate Doha is an opportunity for the design community to address an important global design issue in debate form.

Kharkov (Ukraine) - The deadline for submissions for "4th Block VII International Triennial of the eco-poster, an Icograda endorsed event, has been extended until 15 February 2009.

Washington, DC (United States) - Icograda has endorsed SEGD's annual Design Awards Program, recognising the best in environmental graphic design.

New York (United States) - Icograda has endorsed 365: AIGA Annual Design Competitions 30 and 50 Books/50 Covers Competition. The deadline for submissions for both competitions is 6 March 2009.
