Norcross (United States) - The Design Futures Council has selected a half-dozen professionals for its 2009 class of Emerging Leaders. These individuals will receive registration scholarships to attend the 8th Annual Leadership Summit on Sustainable Design in Chicago this fall.

Ottawa (Canada) - From sixty submissions, three Canadian designers were selected to design posters to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the United Nation's Universal Declaration of Human Rights and mark International Adult Learners' Week.

Melbourne (Australia) - INDIGO, the International Indigenous Design Network, has made an initial round of appointments to its international Advisory Group. The appointments were made public at the forum, 'Culture Shift... an Indigenous Future for Design' during Australia's State of Design Festival.

Taipei, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) - The Call for Entries for the 2009 Taiwan International Poster Design Award is open until 31 August 2009. Organised by the China Productivity Center, with the support of Icograda's professional members in Taiwan (Chinese Taipei), the Award has been supported by the Department of Commercial Affairs of the Ministry of Economic Affairs since 2004.

Montreal (Canada) - Icograda is pleased to announce four new Educational Members, selected by the Executive Board during the latest board meeting in Melbourne, Australia. The new Icograda Education Network (IEN) Members are Keio University (Japan), Mushashino Art University (Japan), The University of Nottingham (UK) and American University of Sharjah (UAE).
