Tokyo (Japan) - In 2005, JAGDA organised "The JAGDA Poster Exhibition: Water For Life", compiling a total of 282 posters designed by JAGDA members and students from all over Japan under the theme of "water". Upon request from Association of Madrid Designers (DIMAD), the whole set of posters is now traveling abroad for the first time.

Washington, DC (United States) - The Society for Environmental Graphic Design has announced David Gibson as the 2009 SEGD Fellow, the highest honor that SEGD bestows on its members.

New York (United States) - The White House and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) have requested members of AIGA, the professional association for design help in promoting public service opportunities in their communities during the "United We Serve" initiative.

Brisbane (Australia) - The Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) Queensland is hosting a Talking Design Public Lecture supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and the State Library of Queensland. Don Ryun Chang (Korea) and David Berman (Canada) will talk about the role of design in a changing world.

London (United Kingdom) - As governments around the world are increasingly turning to creativity and innovation to help renew economic growth, the UK Design Council and the University of Cambridge's Institute for Manufacturing are presenting 'Design For Economic Growth: Measuring the value of design' on 25 June 2009 at the Design Council in London.

Vienna (Austria) - On 16 June 2009, the exhibition "Fabrica. For the People, From the People" will open at the MAK DESIGN SPACE, Vienna. Fabrica's two-way dialogue with its global audience, is expressed in the title and in the exhibition itself.
