Madrid (Spain) - On 23 June, the Madrid Designers' Association (DIMAD) will inaugurate the exhibition 'Cartographic. Madrid Draws' at the Central de Diseño, Matadero Madrid. Taking place during Straight to Business: Icograda Design Week in Madrid 2010, all delegates are invited to attend.

Warsaw (Poland) - On 5 June, the 22 International Poster Biennale Warsaw 2010 announced this year's laureates, with prize winners in five categories and one Icograda Excellence Award winner.

Toronto (Canada) - The Canadian Federal Government has introduced legislation to modernise the Copyright Act as part of the government's commitment to position Canada as a leader in the global digital economy. RGD Ontario will be examining its implications on the design community in a webinar on 24 June.

Madrid (Spain) - As a key activity during Straight to Business: Icograda Design Week in Madrid 2010, taking place from 21-25 June, the exhibition DESIGN IS EVERYTHING will showcase the works of award-winning Spanish and European designers.

Pretoria (South Africa) - Jacques Lange, Icograda President 2005-2007 and a graduate of the University of Pretoria in 1988, became the first recipient of the Department of Visual Arts' Alumni Award of Excellence at a function held at the Van Wouw House in Pretoria, South Africa.

Taipei (Taiwan, Chinese Taipei) - Now in its 9th consecutive year, the Taiwan International Design Competition (TIDC) invites designers, teachers or students of design related departments or schools and people interested in design to submit creative product designs that reflect the theme "Beneficence".

Chaumont (France) - This year's International poster and graphic arts festival of Chaumont has come to a close. The international juries of renowned designers selected the winners for the 2010 Student Competition and International Competition, including the Icograda Excellence Award winner, Niklaus Troxler.

Rotterdam (The Netherlands) - On 30 May 2010, the European Design Awards Ceremony, the crowning event of the entire ED-Festival, brought together the best designers from all corners of the continent to recognise and to reward the effort and the results that they have achieved during the previous year.
