Vancouver (Canada) - Hosted by Emily Carr University of Art and Design on 30 April 2010, the Educators' Roundtable gathered more than 50 participants to examine and explore the nature of post-secondary graphic design education in Canada on the closing day of Design Currency: Icograda Design Week in Vancouver.

Sydney (Australia) - The Design Institute of Australia has inducted six new notable designers as members of The DIA Hall of Fame for 2009: Derek Wrigley, and Fred Ward [posthumously] from ACT, Alma Maccallum, David Davenport, Donald Goodwin and Edward Healy from New South Wales.

Dublin (Ireland) - The Institute of Designers in Ireland are now accepting submissions for their Graduate Awards 2010. The IDI Graduate Designer Awards is a juried multidisciplinary showcase of the very best 3rd level graduate design work in Ireland.

Prague (Czech Republic) - With the release of issue number 39, TYPO Magazine has just entered its eighth year of publication. New features for 2010 include high-quality translations into English and a regularly updated website.

Montreal (Canada) - INDIGO: the International Indigenous Design Network has announced today the launch of its new website, an open platform for designers everywhere to actively participate in an international dialogue on the current living culture of indigenous design.

Essen (Germany) - Designers, agencies, design firms, and clients of the international communication design industry are called upon to demonstrate their design expertise and creative skills and register for the "red dot award: communication design 2010", open for entries until 11 June 2010.

Prague (Czech Republic) - From 29 April - 31 May, the work of nine Czech female graphic designers will on display at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art exhibition, entitled 9 Me, As a Graphic Designer.
