London (United Kingdom) - The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has announced the Student Design Awards briefs for the 2010/2011 award scheme. Undergraduate and postgraduate students have until 17 February 2011 to take part.

Ljubljana (Slovenia) - To commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of Penguin Books, Emzin Institute and Penguin Group have collaborated to present an exhibition of 75 book covers that represent the best of what Penguin has produced over the course of the last decade.

San Francisco (United States) - Re-nourish, together with partner organisations including the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, has launched the Sustainable Design Auditing Project, a public process to develop open-source metrics for measuring the environmental, social and economic impacts of the graphic design supply chain.
