Ljubljana (Slovenia) - The BIO 22 international Jury has presented this year’s BIO Awards. Jury members selected the recipients of three BIO Gold Medals, ten BIO Honourable Mentions, seven BIO Quality Concept Awards and and Award for a Student Work.

Melbourne (Australia) - Entries have opened to the Melbourne Design Awards (MDA) – a new awards program in association with the Design Institute of Australia, Victorian Branch, that honours Melbourne's best design across more than fifty categories.

Treviso (Italy) - Fabrica, the Benetton Group's communication research center, has been invited by the Lodz Design Festival in Poland to present Imaginaires, an installation merging simple, handmade ceramic pieces, representing the plant world, with drawn electric systems to create a new surreal natural landscape.

Terni (Italy) - Utilità Manifesta / Design for Social aims to give visibility and promote messages, graphic design and industrial design projects that are compatible with the claim 'Less Waste More Rights.' Tokyo (Japan) - The Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization has announced the results of the 2010 Good Design Awards. From 3136 applications from all over the world, 1110 items received Good Design Awards. These include the Good Design Award Best 15 and other special awards.

Vienna (Austria) - The international jury for the Joseph Binder Award 2010 has announced this year's finalists. The jury assessed 447 entries by 206 participants from 16 countries, 24 of which will be awarded trophies during the awards ceremony on 10 November.
