Montreal (Canada) - On August 16 2010, Icograda and the Seoul Design Centre established a co-operation agreement to extend the recently concluded Asia Design Survey pilot project to a global scope.

Toronto (Ontario) - The Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario is conducting a national survey on billing and salaries. More than 5000 graphic design and communications professionals from across Canada have completed this survey in past years and RGD hopes to hear from even more this year.

Moscow (Russia) - Designers from 50 countries around the world have been selected by the Pre-Selection Committee to take part in Golden Bee 9. These works will be on display in the Central House of Artists from 25 August - 3 September 2010.

Brisbane (Australia) - Following the Icograda Design Week in Brisbane theme of Optimism, the 2010 AGDA Poster Annual asks designers to challenge the notion that design is only about beautiful things, and to show that design can effect real change. Deadline for entries is 3 September 2010.

Milan (Italy) - After the success of the 2009 Naples edition and following the many events organised by Aiap since 2003, the organisation has announced the second edition of the International Graphic Design Week, themed 'Graphic Foods', to take place in Bologna from 5-9 October 2010.

Seoul (South Korea) - Seoul was appointed a UNESCO City of Design on 20 July 2010. The designation is in appreciation of the city's abundant cultural heritage and creative potentials as well as its strong pursuit of diverse design policies.

Washington, DC (United States) - segdDESIGN, the international journal of environmental graphic design published by the Society for Environmental Graphic Design, recently won awards from the American Society of Association Executives and Sappi Fine Paper North America.
