Icograda welcomes Salman AlHajri as Friend

Montreal (Canada) - We are pleased to have Salman AlHajri as the newest member of the Icograda Friends network. Currently a PhD candidate at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, Salman is an Omani lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University. As a researcher, he is interested in exploring the links between creativity and graphic design and the ways of developing the creative potential of graphic design students.

Icograda Regional Meeting in Vancouver

Vancouver (Canada) - On 27 April, World Graphics Day, Icograda Members and stakeholders will gather in Vancouver at the Convention Centre for a regional meeting. The agenda of the meeting is to discuss policy, direction for the profession and strengthen Icograda's network through a series of workshops. 26 Mar 2010: Competition Policy Review deadline

Montreal (Canada) - Icograda policy is built from the ground up and lives in the support of our Members. Icograda's Competition Guidelines were last reviewed and ratified by the General Assembly 22 in La Habana, Cuba (2007).  Between 2007 and 2010, both thought leadership and technology have continued to reshape our professional practice. Icograda Members and stakeholders are invited to submit their comments on the current policy guidelines by 26 March 2010.

Icograda European Regional Survey

Madrid (Spain) - As part of our ongoing efforts to build regional profiles of the design sector, Icograda is asking our European design stakeholders to complete a survey on the state of design in the EU. 2010 Adobe® Design Achievement Awards jury announced

San Jose (United States) – The jury members have been announced for the 2010 Adobe® Design Achievement Awards. For the second year, Icograda has partnered with Adobe to select an independent panel of seven outstanding international designers and educators from the Icograda network.
