Explore China - join in a Pre-Congress Workshop

The project welcomes international designers, design educators and design students to join their Chinese counterparts in a unique exploration of local Chinese art and design. The results of the workshops will be collected, exhibited and printed during the Congress in Beijing.

Workshops include Chinese Banknote Design in Shenzhen, Contemporary Creativity of China Traditional Hand-woven Fabric in Ji'nan, and Sign's Design and Application of the Shanghai Style in Shanghai.

The host institution of the workshops will offer selected workshop leaders economy class airfare from port of entry into China to the destination city, as well as return airfare to Beijing, accommo-dation and medical and life insurance for the duration of the workshops.

Deadline for workshop leader applications: 10 September
Deadline for workshop student applications: 30 September
