Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, Communication Design | Swinburne University of Technology
Swinburne University of Technology Faculty of Design is planning to appoint a senior academic in communication design. The appointment will be at Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor level.
The Faculty of Design includes the Swinburne School of Film and Television and the Design Centre. The Faculty of Design provides 3 year undergraduate (and 4 year honours degrees) in Communication Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Multimedia Design. It also contributes 50% of the Bachelor of Engineering (Product Design Engineering) and the Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Business and 25% of the Bachelor of Communication. All courses are professionally oriented and many undergraduates undertake a period of Industry practice as part of their degree.

Position Summary
The appointee will be responsible for contributing to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching effort, in the discipline area of Communication Design, in the Faculty. This may involve a range of activities including, but not limited to, delivery of lectures and tutorials, developing learning materials, conducting and marking assessment, supervision of postgraduate research candidates, convening units of study and managing programs of study. The appointee will be expected to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team in order to help the Faculty to achieve its objectives. The appointee will be expected to carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional expertise.About Swinburne
